2. Please, don't throw food.
It is disrespectful to the food and there are hungry people in DC.

5. I've got a pretty good arm
Edited on Fri Jan-14-05 07:40 PM by thecorrection
but I doubt I'll be close enough to throw balloons. You know us protestors will probably be handled like terrorists and there is no way, with all the firepower shrub has commandered for this get together, he won't be walking peacefully down PA Ave.

Could be wrong though...

on edit: Balloons? What the hell am I typing? I meant of course, eggs.

6. Actually that's a pretty good poll question.
Let's see how many people think bush* will be walking part of the parade route. :-)

7. Balloons not a bad idea.
If you are planning on being anywhere near the parade route, not much is going to get through security pat downs.

Orange or black balloons might slip through. Other than that, an anti bush undershirt, or protest sign written on cloth and worn under the clothes is about all you can hope to pass through.

8. I'm in DC now...
Actually, a hotel in McLean, VA.

There are some truly odious Bush-Cheney souvenirs in the gift shop.

Blissfully, I will be landing in St. Kitts next week during the inauguration.

12. Good idea with balloons
If the skies over DC was filled with black and orange balloons, no one could miss that protest. The route where * is present are bound to be protected, and even if you could get through to yell at them, you'd be arrested in a flash and hauled away.

But no one could arrest you for releasing balloons a block away and they would be seen if there were many enough.

thecorrection, you may have come up with a genius idea without intending so! :D

10. Wish I could be there
I have to be at a client event in none other than Columbus that day, so will be in the car for 7 hours driving there and back. Maybe it's good that I'll miss watching on TV -- I don't think I could stand it. Make sure to take video of the protests and post when you get back!

Throw a water balloon for me.
