Bush needs distraction and calls on Family in Focus
Family in Focus rides to the rescue once again

Push for Marriage Amendment Restarted
by Keith Peters, Washington, D.C., correspondent

FMA will be back on Capitol Hill before the month is out.

A federal marriage amendment will be reintroduced in the Senate later this month—but exactly what form it will take this time around is still to be determined.

About all that is certain right now is that the amendment will define marriage as exclusively between one man and one woman. Matt Daniels, president of the group which championed the original amendment—the Alliance for Marriage—said the rest of the language should be exactly the same as the bill that stalled on Capitol Hill last session.

"It's the amendment that's supported by the president, by the leadership of the Senate including (Majority Leader) Bill Frist (and) the leadership of the House, including (House Majority Leader) Tom DeLay," Daniels said.

Do not pay attention to Gonzales, or Rice, or Social Security or the new budget. Family in Focus ready for action.

1. Yep, that's right.

That's going to be part of the plan for as long as this administration stands. Distraction, misdirection and just pushing an insane agenda so we're always reacting to things.

"'It's the amendment that's supported by the president, by the leadership of the Senate including (Majority Leader) Bill Frist (and) the leadership of the House, including (House Majority Leader) Tom DeLay,' Daniels said."

They say that like it's a good thing.

3. Is this deja vu? Groundhog day?
Talk about wasting government resources drafting and debating legislation they know will never pass.

4. Pray, Pray, Pray
that the Republican powerful do not further erode the God-given right of the GLBT community to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Soon as this malarky breaks and comes out of its hated closet I'm contacting my senators and congressman rightaway, too.
It is a social that the powerful prey on the weak for silly distractions.
