Predictions for the next 4 years?
I'm no psychic, but I'll take a stab at it.

We will remain in Iraq, and take on thousands more casualties, on both sides. We will probably also attempt to invade and democratize several other Arab nations.

Our economy will nose dive and a mini depression will ensue. All the dire predictions about Bush's first term, will come to fruition in the second, because he's arrogant, and seriously deluded by his daddy's chosen handlers.

And we will most likely be subjected to more terror attacks, we've certainly made no friends in the Arab world, other than Saudi Arabia.
We'll be reviled and hated by the world more than ever, and the nation formerly known as the United States of America will be unrecognizable.

I wish I had something more optimistic to forfend, but I don't see anything too happy or shiny on the immediate horizon.

2. 'no friends in the Arab world, other than Saudi Arabia"
....and they hate us pretty good too (15 out of 19 hijackers agree).

23. Yes, the "man in the street" in SA hates the US
They are told by the Royal Family who run the joint that all their problems are because of the west, notably us - to deflect criticism (and possible violence) from themselves.

Conspiracy theories aside, the hijackers did not think they were delivering a love letter.

3. Hopefully
North Melbourne's youth plan will pay off and, led by midfield star daniel Wells and some of the emerging forwards like Motlop and Petrie, we'll win the Premiership by 2007.

Oh, and that deep sea knobber that the Jesusfreaks inflicted on you poor Yanks and by extension us, will muddle his way around the quagmire to no effect, slowly lose even his core support when it becomes obvious he has no chance/intention of overturning Roe vs Wade and then, if the Dems get their act together, trail off in 2008 leaving an imp;ossible task to his Republican successor.

4. I predict
President Bush's Social Security plan will fall on the rocks and be a major embrarrassment to him and his administration. Given that the bloom will be off the rose for the Republican Party (they depend on an appearance of power), the Democratic party will pick up seats in the house and the senate.

It will also put a brake on further invasions, although I don't see much good news for Iraq.

5. few more
Dollar tanks deeper, panic from Fed to control inflation.
Interest rise to 1980's rates.

Gold & Silver reach record value.

More death & dispair in Iraq. Sadly the body count rises....

Democratics get some back bone and rise up against * with some help from like minded Republicans.

Mid-term elections give congress back to Democrats, definitely will take work but it can be done.

6. By the end of Bush's term, things will be so bad for
the American public due to destruction of the safety net for the disabled, the jobless, and the elderly; the ongoing job loss; steep raises in state and local taxes to make up for the federal government's ongoing default on obligations, the optional war/wars; the words republican and conservative just might become dirty words.

7. I Can't Shake the Notion that a Turnaround Will Occur
I'm no prognosticator either, but I have an unshakable notion that *Co will pull some stunt so audacious, so outrageous, that it will generate a tsunami of righteous indignation. I predict that, without the pressures of running for reelection and emboldened by what he perceives as his 'mandate' - *Co will pull out all stops and try something that goes beyond the pale. I for one await the day when the American public, the media, and true conservatives in government rise up and demand resignation/impeachment/imprisonment for the BFEE and its enablers. But then, I'm an eternal optimist.

10. I expected all that from the first term
But was woefully let down. Nothing seems to stick to him, because of the hypnosis of the masses. Had Clinton done any of these screw ups on his watch, he'd have been crucified literally, not figuratively.

12. I Didn't Expect It in His First Term
because the general population didn't reach the point of desperation that will turn things around. Unencumbered by reelection concerns, however, I look for something to come down the pike so vile that people will say, collectively, ENOUGH!

9. poverty , lots of it
many people who are poor now will be poorer. there will be an increase in drug abuse (heroine) coming in from Afghanistan to support the hell in Iraq. there will be an increase in AIDS because of the needle trade.

governor pataki's head will explode (cant wait). due to lack of federal money and a city that is turning back into Forte Apache the bronx..but it will be city wide. with even the white low income hurting. property taxes sky rocket.

crime soars and we in NYC are pissed off to no end and hope for a terror strike. at least we would get attention.

but they never come. cause there never was any terror. it was all a game.

people turn up dead mysteriously. anyone that tries to expose the bush cartel - heck cant live past page 30 of his tell all book.

but it happens and by year 2 bush is freaking and he is talking to the portraits in the white house. he is gone and cheney is meaner than ever. but Conyers comes riding in on a black horse with Jesse Jackson next to him, and the entire black caucus bitch slap the shit out of bush and impeach his ass.

things are so bad at this point their is no argument from the non neo-con repubs. elections coming up after all. because it was election fraud that they get him on something unconstitutional has to be done. no one from his administration can take the seat so it defaults to Kerry!! we amend the constitution to say that. la la la. and every stupid decision bush made in the last 6 years gets reversed!

ahhh that was a happy ending.

15. speaking of crime.
We had a drive-by shooting yesterday.

We don't have drive-by shootings and yet Bush claims crime has gone down? Does he think we won't notice contradictions like this?

13. The middle class will continue to dwindle
the poor will increase as the middle class falls into poverty and the rich will grow in numbers as they are allowed to steal from the middle class, I mean the tax payers. The US will go bankrupt as they squeeze out the middle class and the B***sh** will get deeper.

14. Here's mine...
cheney* will resign due to "health problems" just before the 2006 mid term elections. bush* will appoint bill frist as his v.p. so that frist gets plenty of face time before the 2008 election. frist will be the 2008 republican candidate.

17. Full depression and no recovery plan
Bush will have us put on such a harsh plan that we will be living in a state similar to STAZI East Germany by 2008.

We will no longer have a two-term limit for the President.

We will be in an espionage state, with full secret police brigades.

Legal processes will be destroyed, and we will see torture in U.S. prisons.

We will be in deep poverty, and our middle class will disappear altogether.

All this and more, because we will not take our country back as a whole. It seems far-fetched now, but I know several gun enthusiasts who belong to the John Birch society AND sport Anybody But W stickers on their pickup trucks. A lot of these guys are retired law enforcement people, and their protest of the shrub would rival any here at DU. They know what is at stake, and most of us just haven't been looking at the bottom line in this country. Fascism is here, and it will stay until we forcibly remove it. After all, we said that the last four years would lead to massive deficits, job loss, and a recession. And we said that it would get Junior out of the White House. But here we are, privatizing Social Security, eliminating protesters from the Inaugural parade en masse, etc...

19. Bush won't finish his 2nd term
No president has ever deserved to be impeached more. And remember the Valerie Plame investigation is still ongoing. Also the book of Daniel states that the antichrist (Bush, if you don't already know) will be in power 6.5 years (2300 days).

22. Change is a slow painful process.
I dont see a whole lot changing during bush second selection . More of the same , more of our young dying in a war that never needed to happen ,more new enimies, and the scariest of all ,perhaps another terrorist attack that will be even worst then 9/11. I think on my last sad prediction ,that because of hightened security steps that have takin place , we may see alot of small attacks ,when put together add up to the same loss as 9/11 ! I hope for the sake of our beloved country and the inocent here and around the world ,that Iam wrong ,sadly I dont think so !

24. prediction
I had a psychic reading by the Lady who told John Edward at age 15, he would be a famous psychic someday. If you know who He is, well, she was right! I asked her who she thought would be President, and she said she didn't even know who she was voting for yet, (this was back in October) but she had just visited an Astrology/horoscope place on the web that gave predictions for the world, and she said according to them, whoever would be elected President would not serve out the whole term. This has been in the back of my mind, and after realizing they stole another election, it is my hope now that W will be inpeached or something! AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

28. The return of Nibiru
During their past visits here they've left us with knowledge of the cosmos, geometry/math, the wheel, metallurgy, the written word, et al.
The bible was the biggest media spin that led us away from the 'many gods' into believing there is only one.
This next visit, which is due inside of this decade, 'they' will gift us the solution to our energy problem.
All the peoples of earth will witness this event.
Instead of thinking of 'aliens' being evil beings coming to cause damage to this civilization, try seeing them as saviors.
I envision a device no bigger or expensive than a fridge or a window air conditioner that allows us to collect an energy currently unknown that will supply ALL of our needs and uses no deplete-able resources.
We also will KNOW we're ALL ONE and not alone.
We've built magnificent temples for them in our ancient past.

My prediction (or only a wish)
