the politics of Wickedly Perfect - CBS and Martha Stewart

this new reality show CBS has an interesting payout for the winner. A book deal, a number of TV appearances (I think on their morning show) and a show(s?) for the winner, plus money. media stuff.

like a bolt it hit me that this show was to pick a challenger/replacement for Martha.

apparently jail is not enough.

oh, CBS will say the field is open and why shouldn't they enter the market.

if I knew who the men are behind Wickedly Perfect......... I might not think of Martha.........but then again I might

1. That was my first thought when I saw the promo
They're usually not this transparent, but that's exactly what they're planning to do, come out with competition. Stewart is already planning to resume her show, and she'll probably do well.

She'll probably keep giving contributions to Democrats, too. Can't have that, can we?

2. I wouldn't worry to much about it.
First of all, CBS sucks. Second of all, 15 minutes of fame is about as much does any reality contest show winner ever gets. That and endless appearances on "Entertainment Tonight." PsuedoCelebs.

There have already been many other people vying to replace Martha. My feeling is that new people will be interested in her, and older viewers more loyal to her. Now that she's become interesting instead of just perfect. Her stock prices are going back up, and she already has name recognition and a media conglomeration in place.

But I do hate the title of this show.
