Has the Cross become the Crosstika?
Will the cross be remember in history as the swastika is?

Both were positive symbols at one time.

The cross has, in my view become has become synonomous with the perversion of enlightened teachings. it now stands as a symbol of death and destruction, "salvation" at the point of a gun, "we'll trade you bread and blaknets for your soul", "my God is bigger then your God", and "God told me to strike the infidels, and I did".

Even to the extent that Bush won't allow it to line his inaugural route. Are we ashamed of it now?

The cross is, after all, a torture device. Is this what we as a nation now stand for, the power of torture?

2. The Secret Service doesn't want people carrying large
objects, whether it's a cross or a protest sign on a pole.

The shape has nothing to do with it.

3. I should post this on every thread on this subject.
The "Conservative" Sermon On The Mount

Blessed are the rich for all good things trickle down from them. Cursed are the poor for poverty results from their moral failings. Blessed are the war makers for they keep freedom on the march. Cursed are the peacemakers for they shall be called appeasers. Blessed are those who inflict harsh punishments for they maintain law and order. Cursed are those who forgive for they shall be called soft on crime. Blessed are those who pray loudly standing in the churches and on the corners sounding the trumpet before them. Cursed are those who shut the closet door and pray in secret for their prayers are not heard. Blessed are those who cast the first stone for the sake of sexual morality for that is the only morality that matters. Cursed are those who see sexuality as a private matter for marriage must be defended against them.

5. unREason for the cross being banned on the route
Abject Paranoia.

The Neocons, who I monitor through an unfortunate family connection, have been talking a lot about how dangerous this inaugeration is. There could be a WEAPON hidden in one of those crosses that somehow would be snuck through security, or heck, maybe they'll jump him and do a surprise reinactment of Chirsts's death by crucifying him and stabbing him in the gut... NOT.

Just abject paranoia of a penny dictator who has found out that the best way to run a democracy is like a dictatorship.

11. Maybe Rove Ordered No Christian Crosses On The Parade Route
Because he did not want to the media and world to see all the Zombie like "Christian Zealots" that voted for Bush.

This may have more to do with image control than security.
