ACT or moveon.org?
I haven't donated since the election. I want to start getting involved again. I'm going to donate a little more here to DU. Then, should I donate to ACT or move.org? I can also split my money between the two. What do you all think? Is one better than the other? They both seem to serve pretty much the same function to me.

1. Could give some to Barbara Boxer too
and I did VotersUnite as well. I'm a sucker for anything that supports election reform.

3. Yeah, Boxer stood up for election reform.
So did Reid. Donating to them is not a bad idea.

2. I like Moveon better
They are a little more proven and established.

ACT still has some work to do. They don't run as professional of an operation as they should, plus they made a number of tactical errors in the GOTV drive: for example, in Ohio they largely concentrated their efforts in Cuyahoga, Franklin and Hamilton counties and a few university towns. The turnouts they produced in those counties was very impressive, including raising Kerry's percentage in Hamilton County to 47%--the highest for a Democrat in 40 years. But ACT ignored rural voters and the exurbs. That could have produced thousands more votes for Kerry. Enough to win? I don't know? If the question is donating money, stick with Moveon, but if you are talking about donating your time and you can give ACT a little wisdom then maybe they are for you.

5. Its just me
but I never donate to any political organizations at all. The slosest I get is more to a cause than an organization.
