Bush has declared today "National Sanctity of Human Life Day"
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 07:47 PM by Bluebear

US President George W. Bush proclaimed Sunday National Sanctity of Human Life Day and Religious Freedom Day.

Bush, who formally opposes abortion, added that: "On National Sanctity of Human Life Day, we celebrate the sacred gift of life. Our nation has made significant progress in recent years toward building a culture of life."

As Bush's second term gets underway, some rights groups fear that he could try to push to have abortion made illegal by appointing more conservative Supreme Court justices when able. Abortion has been legal in the United States since 1973.

"Working with the Congress, my administration has halted spending of taxpayers' money on international programs that promote abortions overseas. We continue to promote abstinence education, adoption programs, crisis pregnancy programs and other efforts to help protect life," Bush said.

by bush this last term

the hmless die at three times the normal rate.

taxcuts are Reaganomics.. 24 yrs of it, yet now wages are lower than when it started, adjusting for inflation. Rollback all taxcuts, restore Truman's ninety perctnt top rate. Fund all dem programs.

33. .... I'm almost speechless.....
To bad I'm also very opinionated. "National Sanctity of Human Life Day"? How odd that such a day is created by Bush the Butcher. How many people have you indirectly killed George? Will it be nearly One Million by the end of your second term in office?

Did you find the retarded folk you were zapping in the Texas Prisons lacking in Humanity some how? Or those funny sounding brown people across the sea? Or how about our own young men and women you shipped off to fight the brown people based on half truths and lies?

Religious Freedom Day as well? That's odd, coming from a person that reeks of intolerance toward anyone who disagrees with him. Although, you didn't say whether or not "Freedom" meant equal. They set the slaves free too, but created a little something called "segregation." I suppose you mean REAL Religious Freedom for all those who agree with you -- which would be the Christian Right extremists, the American Taliban? Yeah, I thought so.

"Working with the Congress, my administration has halted spending of taxpayers' money on international programs that promote abortions overseas. We continue to promote abstinence education, adoption programs, crisis pregnancy programs and other efforts to help protect life," Bush said.

We will only give money if they do not lobby their own governments for abortion rights, if they do not breathe the word "abortion" to patients where it's legal, if they obey BushCo's Global Gag Order... Otherwise, nothing. We never paid to promote or provide abortions overseas.
