Online Petition To Test Voting Machines
I saw this in the forum on DU about voting. However, there aren't all that many people posting there. I thought it would be better to post it somewhere more active so it can get some signatures.

Sorry if someone already posted it in here.

1. Interesting idea. Doubt anything will come of it.
Of course, I'm eager to be proven wrong.

But if they really want to do it right, they have to have the following:

1) It's got to be by people WE can trust. That would effectively relegate any repukes, fundies, or conservatives (I know I'm being redundant) to only OBSERVER status, if any status at all.

2) It's got to be "raid" style - totally by surprise and not necessarily by random - pick unusually heavy repuke votes in democratic districts, overvote districts, etc., etc.

3) It's got to be studied in secure areas so that no machines can be tampered with.

4) No time limits - unlimited budget to investigate.

3. Does It Talk About How They're Going To Test Them?
"For these reasons, I urge you to allow independent, non-ITA testing of the voting machines used in your county during the 2004 presidential election."

Non-ITA?
