The policy rift between 41 and 43 seems to be widening
It's kind of interesting that in the past few weeks, a couple of Poppy's closest advisors (Brent Scowcroft, and now James Baker) are telling Junior it's time to get the hell out of Iraq.

...

Are we starting to see the evolution of hopeful signs of GOP backbiting, and a widening disagreement between the true conservatives in the party (with whom we can have reasoned discourse) and the fundieneoconimperialists (who simply won't listen)? If so, this is a good thing. There's no question that Poppy still has friends in very high levels of congress and the bureaucratic halls government. And if we start to see a family feud start in the Bush clan, my bet is that George H.W. Bush wins.

3. 41 may see another burn on the horizon, supporting his wayward son.
He's bailed the boy out often enough to know the pattern.

4. Don't count on it. 41 may well still be the power and if he were
very upset with 43, he would take steps to correct whatever he didn't like.

5. good point. Remember the recent Baker trip to the Mid East? No word
on what the outcome was, or much on the purpose for that matter...thought it was a little "off". (Certainly off the chart.)

They have none, only power above all.

10. the split started on 9/12. Daddy said, "Don't invade Iraq."
No doubt, the thinking side of the GOP knows we can't keep mortgaging the country. They don't want to be discredited by social security. It's getting too wierd, even for them.

11. I really don't care
the entire family, in my estimation, is crooked.

George and Barbara spawned idiot, psychopathic children and the selling of the this despicable family as a "dynasty" is equally disgusting.

It is a dynasty of ignorant, classless, boors who have made money off the backs of the poor, the pawns in the military, and have done all they can to establish themself as a society of the elite, when all they are is crass, nose picking, unethical monsters.

12. the illusion of plausible deniability
on what basis can anyone believe that a single solitary word coming out of the mouth of Bushcorp personnel is in earnest?

13. The rift between the 41 and 43
is because 43 won reelection and 41 didn't. Simple jealously.
