A new weekly feature at my website,
"Greed Gone Wild," debuted today.

To read the first article in the series, about the editors of the Washington Post favoring rich over poor, go to:

Therre will be a new "Greed Gone Wild" article each Monday at moveleft.com.

1. Great Work, Eric...
:kick:

I also posted something on this issue:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

There's a lot of misinformation going on about the SSI system...it's purpose and true solvency. As usual, the truth gets trampled by the opportunists who see that large pile of money and want their piece of it. As a high-paid tax attorney I met said recently, "we're getting all the breaks, might as well cash in on them". Greed and self-interest are driving all we see and read.

3. Your link doesn't go to the thread. You need to copy
the address from the address bar on the top of the screen where that thread is displayed.

4. Let's Try This Again...
Edited on Mon Jan-17-05 10:56 AM by KharmaTrain
The gist of the string is how the scare of SSI going bankrupt is a massive distortion of how the system work and what it was designed to do.

Cheers

On edit...

5. I agree. Social Sec. benefits aren't too generous.
The problem is that the rich don't pay in enough.
