It occurred to me, reading it again, that bushco always says "let freedom reign" instead of "ring" as in MLK's words. To "reign" is to rule, to control. A "ring" is a sound that can't be constrained, it just flows.

when this speech was given but it has become one of the most inspiring speeches ever made and as I've grown to know what kind of man MLK jr. was, I am in awe of his bravery to speak out for civil rights in such a turbulent time. He died way too young:(
