Church Leader Blames Abortion For Social Security Problems

POSTED: 9:59 am EST January 17, 2005

SAN DIEGO -- A member of the governing board of the nation's largest black denomination said Social Security is in trouble today because baby boomers aborted much of the generation that would have supported their retirement.

Bishop George McKinney of the Church of God in Christ said, "Part of the problem that we're seeing now with Social Security has to do with the fact that 40 to 50 million people who have been killed through abortions have not taken their role as productive citizens."

McKinney said the Democratic Party's support for legal abortion and gay marriage has cost it support in the black community.

2. And an additional 40 - 50 million citizens would have done what
to overstrain our resources - both natural and financial (taxes, unemployment, gov't services).

They never can see anything beyond whatever side of the story they want to come down on.

10. Don't get suckered into arguing their faith based numbers.
They don't WANT to prove their numbers, because they can't, and that ruins their argument.

I could just as easily say it was the 58,000 real, actual persons lost in Vietnam that is the problem. You see, one of those people was gonna invent a fantastic machine that would have kept our economy on such a roll that funding of anything would never be an issue. Then Nixon's "secret plan" was activated and fucked it all up. In fact I'm pretty sure it was that asshole o'neill in cambodia with a swift boat.

12. You could be right!
or it could be that the generation that spawned the baby booomers didn't have ENOUGH abortions, so now there are far too many of them to support.

Their parent's generation extreme selfishness, and cowardly aversion to abortion, and refusal to limit the number of future societal parasites being born, is the damned problem.

4. Well MLK's daughter led the march against gay marriage
here in Atl last month. Such a message of love and inclusiveness and equality......

She's a Reverend. Wondering if she's thinking of some faith based initiative funding???

6. I originally read your link as www.theCRACKchannel, and I think
that would be more appropriate for this guy.

So this guy is saying he's attracted to the gopers stand of ILLEGAL abortion and quashing of civil rights? I remember when they made killing someone illegal and all murders stopped. Same thing with war on drugs. Back when drugs were legal it was a nightmare, now since they are illegal that's solved everything!
