A new way to think about the way the gov't spends money:
I'm thinking about this 87 billion, and I know it's either going directly into Haliburton's pocket, or it's going indirectly into their pocket after paying for some infrastructure to grease the skids for the oil market.

Well, ever since Bush passed his huge tax cuts for big business and wealthy individuals, we know that, if that money goes towards making rich people and companies richer, it's going to create income which is taxed at pretty low rates (the effective rate of taxation for corporations is about 3%, LTCG, and dividend income are taxed below 25%, I believe). So, we know that 87 billion is not going towards any investment that will create the kind of income, and therefore tax revenue, that is going to reduce the defeicit.

So what kind of activity creates income taxed at high rates? Because THAT would be the kind of activity you want to promote if you ever want to start reducing the defecit. My gosh, would that be middle class jobs that create income taxed at the highest rates? Indeed it would.

So where are the fucking jobs you assholes running the executive branch? And I'm looking at you, Mr Bush.

Why don't you start sprinkling the dough down into the middle class and working class of America, so that we can have an economy with high paying jobs, so that we can pay down this defecit.
