Yeah, I'm sure the Dems are really gonna put the screws to her.

Please!

Spare me the "tough questions" bullshit from the professional capitulators that comprise the Democratic leadership.

3. Right on.
The Dems had many opportunities to "ask the tough questions" during the 9/11 hearings, but most refused. They had opportunities to ask tough questions before the push to war but when came time to cast their vote in favor of war - or not - they chose to go to war. They had a chance to sink some teeth into Campaign lies, but did not. They had a chance to ask tough questions November 5, and January 6. But they did not.

It looks like Sen. Barbara Boxer is the "fall guy" this time around and I'm proud of her. The power elite in both parties have likely agreed that this is way they'll deal with concerns. Can you tell I'm cynical?

Still, I wonder about the other spineless, toothless, heartless and gutless wonders who call themselves Democratic. Oh well.

4. I have to laugh at this charade
to keep from crying. Why do they even bother? They haven't nailed one of the Bush administration lying, thieving, conniving, scheming, war crime committing bozos yet. They can impeach this guy if they want to by now, but still they keep using tough words and light touches to deal with his outrageous, meandering, blundering posse.

I say it's time we started the cry for an "independent investigation". And keep it up until the few dems will intestinal fortitude decide to lead the charge.

Okay, I want a revolution. I'll admit it.

Condoleezza Rice Ready to Pursue President's Agenda By Amy Katz
Washington, D.C.
17-January-2005

He continued, “During the last four years I've relied on her counsel, benefited from her great experience and appreciated her sound and steady judgment. And now I'm honored that she has agreed to serve in my cabinet. The Secretary of State is America's face to the world, and in Dr. Rice, the world will see the strength, the grace and the decency of our country."

Dr. Rice says she is looking forward to pursuing what she calls the President's "ambitious agenda."

15. Here's a question suggested by an Indy Media poster
Open Letter to Senator Boxer

Dear Senator Boxer, Thanks for standing up for the election challenge, it took a lot of courage to do that, I hope you have more where that came from. I've read that you are gearing up to battle Condi's appointment- if you really want to ask her tough questions, I have a gift for you. This audio excerpt of a speech Condi gave 6 months after 9/11:
http://la.indymedia.org/uploads/condi-terrible_accident.mp3

After seeing the first plane hit, Condoleeza's "first thought was, what a terrible accident."

Ms. Boxer, let's review the facts:

* Condoleeza Rice received numerous warnings that something 'spectacular' was going to happen, one warning even mentioned 'hijacked airplanes'. The indications of a pending attack were so numerous and credible that Richard Clarke said his 'hair was on fire'.
* Of course everyone knows about the August 6th memo titled: Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the Us
* Then just 5 days before 9/11, former Senator Gary Hart, Chair of the Hart-Rudman commission on terrorism, told Ms. Rice there was an 'inevitable threat' of a terrorist attack.

As Condi explains in the audio clip, she saw the first plane hit the tower and thought is was a 'terrible accident' - then she went to a staff meeting! This is worthy of a question at the confirmation hearing.

The whole world saw the 2nd plane hit and watched the ensuing tragedy unfold, but our National Security Advisor, who just had received numerous 'set your hair on fire' warnings, thought it was a terrible accident and continued about her day. Why? Based on the evidence, it appears Ms. Rice is either lying, or an incompetent fool.

Of course CondiLiar will just say, "Oops. Sorry. I misspoke again," and that will be the end of the matter. The media whores and opposition politicians dropped the matter like a hot brick when she used the very lame and totaly bogus excuse that she "misspoke" in reference to her obvious nose-stretcher that that no one could have imagined terrorists flying aircraft into buildings.

lessee.. if you could be an oil tanker what kind would you be?

Chevron?

What’s a girl gotta do to get a 130,000-ton oil tanker named after her? Ask Condi Rice. She so charmed Chevron’s board of directors that they named one of the company’s tankers after her. In addition to sitting on Chevron’s board, Rice was also a director at two other multinationals—brokerage firm Charles Schwab and insurance company Transamerica Corp. She was the country's first female national security adviser and is considered one of President Bush's closest confidants. She played a central role in formulating and executing the administration's strategy in response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Now, Bush wants Rice to take over for Secretary of State Colin Powell, who is resigning after a long period of tense relations with the administration. Rice would inherit the enormous responsibility for improving U.S. relations around the world, which have suffered following the war in Iraq.

According to post above she said (lied) that the World Trade Center was an ACCIDENT, yet! she forumlated and executed the RESPONSE?

Chevron redubs ship named for Bush aide
Condoleezza Rice drew too much attention
- Carla Marinucci, Chronicle Political Writer
Saturday, May 5, 2001

Leaving a wave of controversy in its wake, one of the most visible reminders of the Bush administration's ties to big oil - the 129,000-ton Chevron tanker Condoleezza Rice - has quietly been renamed, Chevron officials acknowledged yesterday.

"We made the change to eliminate the unnecessary attention caused by the vessel's original name," said Chevron spokesman Fred Gorell.

Maybe the country gwb illegally invaded for what? oh! 'oil' will be renamed "Condoleeza".

23. Actually the Dems may grill Rice
The Democrats may ask Rice some tough questions but in the end they will vote for her.

It would be nice if the Democrats voted against Rice as a protest against the Iraq war but we know it won't happen.

The Democrats won't win a elections as long as they act as pseudo Republicans.

26. Will anyone ask her about lying to the 9-11 commission?
Will anyone ask her why she ignored the warnings in the August 2001 memo?
Will anyone ask her why she lied and said we couldn't have imagined anyone using planes as weapons when we had ongoing drills for just that scenario??

I s'pose not.
