david gregory interviewing * on tweety; swallows HUGE lie on SS |
|
*ass said SS will be "BUST" in 2042
WHY did Gregory let that slide, when SS will be funded at a level at that point to fund payments around seventy percent of what they are now?
isn't that correct?
how does that make SS BUST at that point?
he just let Bush slide with that one
what a puss

4. Actually it is even worse than that |
|
since the 70% is calculated from the the wage inflated benefits in 2042, which in real constant dollars would still be larger than today's benefits (real constant dollars only taking into account price inflation). Actually Bush is so full of it on this issue that it is hard to keep up with his lies, but the press sure is not making much of an effort.

5. exactly....thanks for that. even George Will is admitting that another |
|
key lying point of theirs is the garbage about a projected growth rate so laughably low that, in his words, will make the SS crisis less than a blip on the radar screen forty years from now
too bad Gregory didn't have any of those easily accessible facts to toss back at the chimperor
beyond words

7. don't alienate David Gregory |
|
He's been one of the very few who dare to question *.
The fact that he scored a private interview means they're trying to neuter him. It doesn't mean he will bend over after this.
If you want to keep him on the critical side, write to him and gently encourage him to fulfill his role of watchdog. Be polite and thankful for his professionalism in the past.

he's just feathering his nest now; seems as if he's given up.
he KNOWS he'll never get another one on one if he dares challenge
no follow up that I saw....very disapppointing
will email encouragement, though, just for fun
I hold NO hope at all anymore for ANY of these pathetic corporate media hohos. they've proven there utter cravenness beyond any possible redemption
I blame mySELF for ever bothering to watch anymore
