Talking heads all day on t.v. talking about Sy Hersh's article, but the pentagon officials deny deny deny.

1. Like I said, the only thing stopping the Iran invasion is that

it would be idiotic and the invasion would fail.

Of course, Bush has no fear or recognition of the idiotic and failure.

7. It won't, because the Iranian nuke program

can't be taken out with cruise missiles or bombing.

Moreover, a declaration of war against Iran would lead to justified attacks on Americans in Iraq. Whether that would legally include arming insurgent groups or not, it could be done with impunity.

In the meantime, Iran would end UN inspections of its nuke facilities and accelerate and complete its nuke program.

Bush would look foolish and weak as he talks of how dangerous Iran is (the usual Bush there is a crisis quick give me authority tactic) while failing to do anything except lose Iraq.
