Special Report on Inaugural Balloons
This year, you'll need to take special care using those Mylar balloons that have become such a traditional part of all Presidential Inaugurations. Although the no fly zone has been extended out 23 miles, a stray balloon or two could cause major havoc in the Washington area around the time of the President's speech. Realizing this potential problem, the editors at Buck Fush have developed a simple checklist that will help keep the skies clear above the glorious celebration.

1. Make sure you keep a handle on all of your Mylar balloons, especially if you are upwind of Washington, D.C. in the early morning of the 20th.

2. Consider the time when you transport your balloons. For instance, if the wind speed is 15mph and you are 30 miles upwind from Washington, make sure you don't accidentally release any balloons 2 hours before the Ceremony. Keep in mind that winds aloft are stronger than on the surface, so this may not be a perfect formula for determining the worse time to lose a balloon, it may be sooner. Whatever you do, don't lose them at 15 minute intervals, because if all of them were lost this way, at least one would most certainly be overhead during the Inauguration which would be a real disaster.

6. Actually it was Col. Flagg who caught that remark...he is now camped in
your dumpster, buried under the coffee grounds, watching your abode. Pain? he feels no pain as he dilligently watches for "terrists". He also plans to sit at the podium, with a straw and straight pins to shoot down any unidentified flying objects. He says in his mind "bring it on"

opps forgot the first part of my story..."it was a dark and stormy day..."

7. come track me baby
:-) Ha! The more money they waste monitoring civilians, the less they'll
have for their policy crimes. I'm about 4000 miles away from the
coronation, and plan to keep it that way. I would not go within a
thousand miles of that wretched bunch of tossers, nor, frankly do i have
much regard for those who go there and give them any legitimacy by
their presence.

Why visit a prison to see the insane. We already hear way too much
from those wankers, and golly, i'm sure the real terrerrerereists
are busy with more important things. It is the propaganda that says
that "they" strike indiscriminantly. Rather they strike very very
predictably and follow a rather clear code of war.... in a word
"reciprocity". So on the coronation of the king of hatred, ignorance,
fear, and war, the seeds are sewn for a harvest that will affect
us all... F**k bush and his nasty filth. They can't find the antrax
killer as he's one of their own, using their own biological weapons,
a sign of the terrorism gotten out of hand when your own WMD's are your
worst nightmare.

21. LOL thats true
I really think that bush over estimates himself. he thinks that everyone wants him dead but "terrorists" aren't that stupid. they know if he's dead than someone even worse will take over, like cheney.

23. Actually, OBL has said he WANTED Bush elected
as a Democrat would end the war and bring the troops home. OBL needs Bush there to keep his people fired up and on a mission.

8. It's better in German, but I couldn't resist...
You and I in a little toy shop
Buy a bag of balloons with the money we've got.
Set them free at the break of dawn
'Til one by one, they were gone.
Back at base, bugs in the software
Flash the message, Something's out there.
Floating in the summer sky.
99 red balloons go by.

99 red balloons.
floating in the summer sky.
Panic bells, it's red alert.
There's something here from somewhere else.
The war machine springs to life.
Opens up one eager eye.
Focusing it on the sky.
Where 99 red balloons go by.

99 Decision Street.
99 ministers meet.
To worry, worry, super-scurry.
Call the troops out in a hurry.
This is what we've waited for.
This is it boys, this is war.
The president is on the line
As 99 red balloons go by.

99 Knights of the air
Ride super-high-tech jet fighters
Everyone's a superhero.
Everyone's a Captain Kirk.
With orders to identify.
To clarify and classify.
Scramble in the summer sky.
As 99 red balloons go by.

99 dreams I have had.
In every one a red balloon.
It's all over and I'm standing pretty.
In this dust that was a city.
If I could find a souvenier.
Just to prove the world was here.
And here is a red balloon
I think of you and let it go.

10. Sure, 99 Luftballoons by Nena...
Hast Du etwas Zeit für mich
Dann singe ich ein Lied fuer Dich
Von 99 Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont
Denkst Du vielleicht grad' an mich
Dann singe ich ein Lied fuer Dich
Von 99 Luftballons
Und dass sowas von sowas kommt

99 Luftballons
Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont
Hielt man fuer UFOs aus dem All
Darum schickte ein General
Eine Fliegerstaffel hinterher
Alarm zu geben, wenn es so war
Dabei war da am Horizont
Nur 99 Luftballons

99 Duesenjaeger
Jeder war ein grosser Krieger
Hielten sich fuer Captain Kirk
Das gab ein grosses Feuerwerk
Die Nachbarn haben nichts gerafft
Und fuehlten sich gleich angemacht
Dabei schoss man am Horizont
Auf 99 Luftballons

99 Kriegsminister
Streichholz und Benzinkanister
Hielten sich fuer schlaue Leute
Witterten schon fette Beute
Riefen: Krieg und wollten Macht
Mann, wer haette das gedacht
Dass es einmal soweit kommt
Wegen 99 Luftballons

99 Jahre Krieg
Liessen keinen Platz fuer Sieger
Kriegsminister gibt es nicht mehr
Und auch keine Duesenflieger
Heute zieh ich meine Runden
Seh die Welt in Truemmern liegen
Hab' nen Luftballon gefunden
Denk' an Dich und lass' ihn fliegen
