Anybody watch Aaron Brown tonight?
He played the whole MLK speech. It was an amazing wakeup call. As each year goes by, Martin Luther King looms larger and more prescient. We need a man like him today, we need another march for freedom.

1. Yes, I did.
And I was surprised that CNN gave that much airtime in honor of MLK.

2. AS pointed out at our local NAACP annual dinner
few people have ever listened to the first two-thirds of that speech.

3. My MLK contribution:
I once befriended a Libertarian, learned a lot, and later had a fall-out with her. She had some very strange notions about black people in America (She was a brit ex-pat) She really saw them as inferior genetically (Bell Curve believer) and a disorganized bunch. When I mentioned MLK, she said that MLK was one of the bright ones and was speaking for everyone in America, including herself. (Listen to his speeches and imagine an America 200 years in the future) I suggested she go and look at the old newsreels and see who attended his early speeches. She didn't realize until that moment that blacks were an organized group and that they were the ones marching in the streets demanding equality. She thought it was just given to them by the kindness of anglos' hearts.
