Poll question: Who would Jesus bomb? |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 01:27 AM by Is It Fascism Yet
We all know that the Shrub has schizophrenic episodes in which he "hears god" telling him what to do. We also know that the media whores are beginning to prime us for war with several different candidates for enemy. Apparently "The War President" feels he'd better keep making wars, to maintain war presidency, and he seems to think we will never run out of resources, especially young able bodied persons without body armour. The question that comes to Shrub's mind is, undoubtedly, "who would Jesus bomb" (next)...

8. i think god would be most pissed with the pseudo-christian right |

I think he would bomb them first. Then he would call for a terror alert in DC. When all the high ups are in the bunker, he would direct hit it. He would most likely use napalm.

10. Why was there no "none of the above" option? |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 02:37 AM by Pikku
I voted 'other' for that reason.
Jesus would bomb no one. Jesus would rather be bombed himself than to bomb.
Jesus would show us that the people we hate most are both the closest people to us as well as our neighbors.
We're supposed to love our neighbors. Right? When our worldview was small, it was easy. Now that our world view is, well, worldwide, it is so much more difficult.
Jesus would have walked among the 'soon to be bombed people' as well as the 'soon to bomb people.' When the bombing happened, he would have been among the destroyed. And he would have forgiven the bombers.
So I vote for "bombing no one" as a remedy for "bombing myself." And every time that a new target is bombed
How many times must we be reminded that Jesus sacrificed himself "

13. well, that jesus sacrificed himself is debatable, but yeah, the point is |
|
that jesus would not do what his followers think they do in his name, yeah, that's, like, the point. Sorry my sarcasm was so thick, my bad.
