I have one at 4.9 and one at 7.9 (although they are still in the 0% period now).
I shudder to think of the time bomb that will go off if interest rise very much...

3. Yeah but if I make a purchase it's a little higher like between 7-9%. |
|
We are making sure we don't use it for purchases. We just keep paying on it and went from about $6,000 and now down to $3700 in a year! I keep counting down!

4. I've heard the better your credit rating is the better offers you'll get. |
|
I don't know if that's true but that's what I read on a msn or yahoo website, I think. And I also heard that if you keep switching for the deals, it makes your credit rating go down.

7. I play credit card roullette . . . |
|
I keep a stable of cards with no balance, and they're always sending me great offers for low rates . . . two of my cards with balances have rates of 2.99 and 4.99 for the life of the balance . . . the third has a 0% rate for six months, when it reverts to 7.99 . . . before that happens, I'll flip it to something more reasonable . . .

8. I did that for a while too |
|
but it got me in to trouble. I was almost 28,000 in debt three years ago but now I've got it down to 6,000 and planning to pay them all off before the end of summer 2005 that is if nothing major happens. It feels pretty good to finally get to this point and it will be even better when I get them all paid off and can save up for the things I want rather than charging which is my goal.
By the way my percentages are 0% on one and was 2.9 on the other until I missed the December bill and now it's 10.49. Guess which one is getting paid off first.
