Photos from another torture session (GRAPHIC!)
This time it is British soldiers that were supposed to guard a food depot, and ended up torturing the civilian guys trying to rob it.

"The three soldiers, who face a total of nine charges between them, are accused of abusing looters who were being detained at the camp in southern Iraq after attempting to steal powdered milk and food.

Lieutenant Colonel Nick Clapham, prosecuting, told the hearing the camp's commander Major Dan Taylor had ordered looters should be "worked hard".

This breached the Geneva Convention, Lt Col Clapham said.

"The order to work by Major Taylor was an unlawful one but, even though the order was unlawful, had the defendants done no more they would not face the charges they face today," he added.

'Disturbing content'

Evidence of the alleged abuse came to light when a set of photographs were left for processing at a shop in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

A developer called police because she was "disturbed by the content".

"It cannot be said that these photographs are of incidents that are anything other than shocking and appalling," Lt Col Clapham told the court."

4. Just think...
These are just the the incidents that get photographed and leaked. We probably only see .01% of the stuff that goes on.

Could somebody please remind me why we're there again?

Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 06:56 PM by NervousRex
This sickens me, beyond words. These poor excuses for "soldiers" should be put away for life. Maybe that toffee-nosed Prince Harry was really dressing up in his country's uniform of choice!!! Christ, I expect this from American troops, but Britain...your bloody, murdering, genocidal colonial past is coming to the surface. Eff you!!!

12. Yes, you're right,
these bastards should be punished as severely as possible. I'm not sure why you expect it from your own people but not ours - we're just as fucked up as everybody else. Doesn't matter whether it's the US or Britain - take a bunch of undereducated people, teach them how to be efficient killers, lie to them and tell them they're fighting for their country then let them loose. They do it because they're dumb - stupid, ignorant and allowed/encouraged to be vicious. These morons took the film to a local shop to be developed, the dumb fuckers. And just as well they did.
They deserve everything they get, although I'm sure it won't be enough.
