FreepWatch - I feel good.
Went over to (not so free) Republic to read some posts as I do from time to time and what struck me is the complete LACK of any discussion about the economy, Iraq or Bush's 87 million request...Maybe that 87 billion bill he's sending congress went over like a warm glass of snot....as for other posts...

A Nascar brawl and prayer requests were the more popular post currently and some complaining about Al Franken. And the NFL picks...

A post on how Bush has a lock on a second term and the "dims" are just wasting time.

There was also a post about the Patriot Act....something of concern to the gun nut, NRA-KKK militia, tin foil hat types over there...

I get the feeling that the folks caught up in the Bush - Necon brain wash over the past few years are now in a state of confusion. Dazed like waking from a bad dream with a nasty hangover.

It made me feel kinda sad but strangely good.

I think that many realize they were very foolish. If BUsh makes any more mistakes (which he will) they will help show him the door. (Maybe even before November...) Expect to see GOP fall apart this winter.

hehehehe....

I feel pretty good.....not bad for a foggy monday...

1. I read alot over there. They are after personal sins.
How we live and is it up to how they feel seems to be the thing. They really are into evil and what we do is evil to them. Zealots who have taken over the country. Scary as hell.

3. I applied for membership there.
Yes, you have to apply. Your applications are obviously screened by an administrator and hand-picked. A friend of mine managed to post 4 or 5 messages there before he got banned. Anything regarded as "Disturbing the board" is a bannable offence. :)

4. Freepers are an eternal bane...
The Dark Ages; the Inquistion; Imperialism; The Nazi's; Pol Pot, etc...

The darker side of humaity is always with us- freeper's represent what is worst in humankind.

8. The Key to Freeping Undercover
Don't criticize Bush from the Left, but from the Right. Don't swear, just bitch about Bush signing the medicare bill, banning assault weapons and the like. Any neanderthal thing that the president rejects, you bash him for selling out the base. Occasionally, do fake praise of him, then continue. Pretend to be a Tom McClintock supporter, outraged that a liberal like Arnold can be getting the support of the white house.

I don't go there much anymore because it got boring. But I have an active account I haven't used for about 3 months, and that is how I keep it active. The fun part of the excercise is that you create divisiveness there. Even though you might think it is a good thing that President Bush will sign the weapons bill, fake outrage, threaten to never vote for him again, etc.

Oh, and never start your own threads there until you have been "vetted" for a few months. They are ultraparanoid there, and will ban anybody critical who starts a thread shortly after joining. Just get involved in a discussion, throw occasional bones to the Prez for doing some loony right wing thing like getting rid of environmental laws, and then go attack him from the right wing.

It's fun, and it really depresses the hard core right wingers there who believe that Atilla the Hun was a moderate.

15. I was on FR for a while too
I used to post there occasionally, under the same name as my DU name, and they didn't notice it for a long while. I did what you said: criticized Bush from the Right. (They actually do that a lot too.) There's plenty of screwups he's responsible for, and Fascists do expect the trains at least to run on time.

I guess I blew my cover last week when I posted some picture of Arnold naked with Bush, Cheney, Aschcroft and Rumsfeld photoshopped into the picture. (Someone had posted it on DU.) It was such a funny pic, and I figured the Freeps are so hung up on sex they'd be pissed at Arnold for posing nude - but I guess they weren't too thrilled about having a bunch of neocons looking at his dick.

Now if I could just find those doctored pics I had of Bush in drag...

By the way, the reaction to the 87-billion-dollar speech over at FR was pretty negative for the most part:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/977824/posts

Actually pretty interesting to read, this thread. Freepers know from their talking points that "big government" is always bad so when someone spends money like it grows on trees they get upset.

Some of them are saying "We need to win in Irak at ANY cost" but a lot of them are saying "Yeah, like all the dumb terrorists are really gonna fall for that 'terrorism magnet' crap. A war on terrorism is like spitting into the ocean."

He's absolutely right about the way to post over there.

If you're just lurking to spy, fine. But if you want to post, pretent you're one of them. You cannot convince them, or even really insult them. They are as immune to our arguments as we are to theirs; at most we just piss them off. But you CAN divide them.

I learned this back in the 60's, when FBI tactics to infiltrate the anti-war movement came to light. Agents would infiltrate groups and move them to extremes--agitate real activists to do things which would either discredit them or seriously divide them.

I'm absolutely convinced that a fair number of our one-percenters are really freepsa following your advice to a tee. Good that you're giving them a dose of their own medicine.

9. Actually, right after Smirk's speech last night,
there was a thread on here which posted a link to a discussion on Der Frei Republik about the speech and MAN was it a shocker! The freeps actually were dropping the scales from their eyes and ripping Smirk a good one, I couldn't believe it! One was asking "Does this man have any concept of money", another was saying that he'd "never vote for Smirk ever again because he didn't like being lied to and he didn't like being robbed"; another was saying that "they were beginning to wake up and realize what was really happening"; and many were ripping Smirkie good over the fact that no WMD's had been found! I found that VERY encouraging, because if even the Boy King Impostor's harem of whores are turning against him and talking like that, then he's REALLY in trouble!

11. In a way, I feel sorry for them
They will only listen and believe Faux and Limbaugh. The media is manipulating them more than the rest of the world. This morning Faux was all about the recall. Freeper threads are all about the recall. Their beloved Bush can do any nasty thing he wants to do and get away with it and as long as Faux and Limbaugh don't mention it, it didn't happen.

Their news topics list many articles, but most of the comments are "barf, I don't believe this".

Plus, what is it about their Clinton obsession?

Sad.

17. Actually, Limbaugh has criticized Bush Recently
Although he still says he wouldn't want anyone else running the county. I saw that little interview while flipping channels but I can't remember where or who was interviewing. He was supposed to be promoting the fact that he will be an NFL commentator.

13. I've yet to be banned from there
but I always feel like I need a vomitorium or a shower when I get out. Its funny to say things like "yea and I heard this or that" - and the replys I get - not actually acusing - but trying to turn the light switch on. I usually do get to come away with a laugh at the replys they give me. But anyhow - Damn that Symoblman for alerting me to Hollywood Halfwits - you don't get banned over there - but we're talking some seriously uneducated lower-IQ knuckle dragging Clinton haters and Bush lovers there. I got to stay away from those places for awhile though - it does more to depress me than anything else.

They don't seem to have a very large audience at FreeRepublic anymore. Very few threads get more than 20 replies. Maybe that's a good sign.

I just can't do it. I've seen a lot of nasty stuff in my time, but I just can't stomach a single moment over there at Freeperville.
