WH standoff continues....bush* is inside WH.....(PHOTOS)

the van is parked next to the "pResidential inaugeration reviewing stands" on the South side of the White House grounds (you can see those 'stands' behind the truck in the last photo)...the man is threatening to BLOW UP his van.....all streets around the White House have been closed and traffic is STILL a huge mess....

the van is BLOCKING the main entrance to the White House, where all the big limos pull in....and if the guy BLOWS it up...there goes the whole 'pResidential inaugeration viewing stands'.....

5. update from Washington Post: DC is a total mess (link)

there's a Washington Post reporter on the scene, and he's broadcasting through on local stations in the DC area....amazing that they evacuated buildings/closed streets for safety, all around the White House, and left bush* in place at the CENTER of the action....armoured vehicles, building evacuations, street closures, hazmat...EVERYTHING....

The Secret Service and District police surrounded the van, approaching it with guns drawn. They kept close watch while they talked to the man in hopes of ending the standoff peacefully. Hundreds of officers were at the scene, positioned along 15th and nearby streets.

Police swept through office buildings on 15th Street NW, evacuating them. At least three command vehicles were on the scene. An armored vehicle rode up and down 15th Street, and hazmat vehicles, ambulances and other emergency equipment took over the streets.

The White House was not evacuated, but numerous buildings in the surrounding area were cleared and police blocked traffic, creating gridlock throughout the rush hour.

Police shut off parts of 14th and 15th streets as well as Pennsylvania and New York avenues, grinding traffic to a standstill across wide swaths of downtown south of Dupont Circle.

"If commuters had not left before the incident got into high gear, they can't go anywhere," said John Townsend, manager of public and government relations for AAA Mid-Atlantic, who was looking down on the scene from his office. "It's just absolute gridlock. There's no traffic moving in and out of this vicinity."

8. bush* would have had to leave WH before 4 PM, when standoff

began..the ONLY honoring-military event for bush* coronation is the Military Ball on Thursday night...all other bush* events are PRIVATE war-profiteering/reTHUGlicans events, mostly at White House....


IMO, there's a lot of spin going on here...afterall, how bad is it to have a HUGE van-bomb parked in front of the WH for more than 4 hours??

first, they claimed it was 1 mile away from WH, then, after the photos came out and you could SEE the 'pResidential inaugeration viewing stands', suddenly, they admitted it was CLOSE to the WH....

then, they made up SEVERAL DIFFERENT STORIES about this man and his threats...claiming that he never threatened bush* (which is incredibly hard to believe, considering the location)....then varying different stories about the potential BOMB.....

anyways....I think the police POPPED the guy when they finally got the chance....and that bush* was INSIDE the whole time (that's what local DC radio broadcast, bush* was to have a WH Dinner Party).....until I see a photo of this terrorist ALIVE and walking around, I think they popped him....

lame, you can always claim that you were 'honoring military' because the military will cover for you....
