How pervasive is the Psy Ops on DU these day's? I think they're paying
attention boy's and girls. I have seen quite a few threads which iether propagate fear and despair or election reform suggestions that are at best inadequate and not true reform. Even suggestions to reconsider protests because "they wouldn't help". WTF? How devious.

Some are extremely and dangerously subtle. It is kinda fun to spot them though. I suggest perhaps we might consider calling out the obvious ones not neccessarily as just freepers but very possibly a concerted Psy Ops effort.

Btw; Paper ballots NOW!...........Hand counts NOW!

There is one right now in politics forum saying Dems shouldn't do a econmic boycott on inaguration day. It shows they are getting scared!

5. I don't think the boycot is a good idea.
I would be all in favor of if it would make a difference. But it won't and it will just serve to marginalize us. Look at the big "gas revolt" last year. High gas prices hit EVERYBODY, not just Kerry voters and it fizzled out and you would have to be an economist and crunch a shitload of numbers to see the difference (if any) it made.

None of these things are going to make a difference. The only thing that is going to cause any change is getting serious agout 2006 and 2008. We can't do a damned thing about 2000 and 2004 that is going to change the results. We need to concentrate on fighting the battles we can win, not refighting the ones we lost.

But have seen some subtle posts leaning more "right" than what I would have thought would show on these boards. I think you may be correct in this idea.

edit-heck, they probably are paying, paying peeps to try and lead these boards astray.

8. Welcome to DU and enjoy your stay!
I believe that each and every time I see bogus suggestions as to election reform I may just respond simply with: Paper ballots NOW! Hand counts NOW! instead of wasting too much of my time with refuting flawed "solutions". Besides there are DU'ers much better than I am at refuting BS and dealing with minutia.

6. i know there is a conservative board that has fun playing that
game. as a matter of fact, "suggestions to reconsider protests because "they wouldn't help". " was a post on here not to long ago one of these people were jumping up and down cause they had posted it and people responded. was the silliest of things. people post, and others with pure intent respond for the amusement of these people. i personally dont get it. anyway, so yes, i see how this is a game for some. going beyond that i dont know. limbaugh mentioned this site today, and why i figure so many came in to diss kerry, not that we dont have plenty already here willing to do it.

7. I don't think its a psy ops thing,it's just give-up ops
No body is going to make us lie down for facism by saying protesting is worthless, fuck em, they are not coming up with anything more constructive and if they want to wimp out it's fine with me because i will die to protect democracy and what good things this country stands for and that isn't about war & greed.
