2. Transition?
From what to what? From having Bush as our president to having Bush as our president?

What kind of nuttiness is this?

3. Vote for Kodos and avoid a horrific bloodbath
See, see you simpletons, in America, we don't massacre each other before an election, like SOME countries.

4. "Peaceful Transition of Power"--verbal obscenity from 2001...
The commentators at the dreadful Inauguration spoke warmly of this peaceful transition of power we were witnessing. Quite a few of us believed the wrong man was being inaugurated, but we were instructed to let go of the old concepts of voting & counting the votes. So 20th century!

Of course, there's no transition of power this year--just consolidation. But the phrase stuck in Bushie's ear & he likes to repeat it. I guess his usage confirms our belief on who actually won the vote in 2004....

5. Why couldn't Bush walk down the avenue???
Because all of the protestors were throwing eggs at his limo. There were a LOT of them, as shown in Fahrenheit 911, unlike the "liberal" media showed us.

First time in 20 years the President couldn't walk down the street after his oath of office.

11. They also had to sneak him in the back door of the Whitehouse
because of all the egg-throwers.

7. Democracy must walk into the slaughter house "peacefully".
Well, it might appear to this time. But, at some point in the future,
those in power are going to come face to face with "the sleeping giant". Americans have more than their share of faults, but for the most part they aren't afraid to fight for they believe in and the love
their Democracy. Once they discover what has happened to their beloved, all hell is going to break lose.

No entity as ill conceived as the current power holders could possibly endure.

9. That is one frightened little dictator.
Don't worry, Usurper Boy, you'll be installed again. But YOU know and WE know you weren't elected.

The real election numbers must have been staggering.

12. From the legitimate winner in 2000 (Gore) to Bush.... to the legitimate
winner in 2004 (Kerry) to Bush. Quite the transition, no?

13. Just more proof that Bush knows he's a petty tyrant.
Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 10:07 AM by aden_nak
The only other time I've heard him talk about "peaceful transitions" is when addressing the current rule of some tin pot dictator. And if history is any indication, nothing Bush claims will be "peaceful" ever remains so.
