Sorry. She's been in the hospital for a heart attack and has actually been doing very well recovering. I don't want people coming up to me and saying "why don't you take the day off" and "oh, I'm sorry" when she's doing so well.

1. You could wear orange (election fraud) ... or blue (peace).
Carry on! Glad to hear that Grandma is doing better. She's in our prayers!

4. Or green (environment) or yellow (social security)... actually...
just think of an issue for whatever color you wear and tell people that is why you are wearing it.

I think mauve should be stem-cell research, beige should be evolution, etc.

3. That would be a good idea, if...
...I hadn't taken so many days off lately. My boss and even one of my way high-up bosses are dems, plus I'm a shareholder in my company, so I wouldn't really be fighting the Republicans by striking.

5. A black armband will do. An upside down flag on it will make the point.
Failing that, any dark color like navy blue or grey will do.

7. You could pin on a sign saying "Grandma's okay, but Democracy died"
...
I hope that doesn't sound insensitive, it just came to mind. Hope your gram's all right.
