Wal-Mart wine....
OK... it's an email joke.... but it's funny and soooo true-to-life!
- - -
Great news! Some Wal-Mart customers soon will be able to sample a new
discount item:

Wal-Mart's own brand of wine.

The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with E&J Gallo Winery
of Modesto, California, to produce the spirits at an affordable price,
in the $2-5 range.

While wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of
Wal-Mart brand wine into their shopping carts, there is a market for
cheap wine, said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at Roger
Williams University in Bristol, R.I.

She said: "The right name is important. Look at what Trader Joe's has done with "Charles Shaw."

The top 13 suggested names for Wal-Mart Wine:
Chateau Traileur Parc
White Trashfindel
Big Red Gulp
Grape Expectations
Domaine Wal-Mart "Merde du Pays"
NASCAR bernet
Chef Boyardeaux
Peanut Noir
Chateau des Moines
I Can't Believe It's Not Vinegar!
World Championship Riesling
Sam's Shiraz

And the number 1 name for Wal-Mart Wine ..

1. Nasti Spumante

The beauty of Wal-Mart wine is that it can be served with both white
meat (Possum) and red meat (squirrel).
Make sure to vote on your favorite name at a Wal-Mart near you.

8. I see being 'White Trash' as a state of mind...
not a congenital condition like being black or Polish or whatever and therefore don't condemn its use. Just my opinion.

10. I see that as being more "anti-poor" than racist
Nice to see the Iowa bash in there too. It was picked for its Frenchness, but is also meant to be an insult to the entire midwest.

12. Is there any left :)
That is one of the few Shiraz (Syrah) varietals I truly love.
And at that age it's already good to go.

I found this Penfolds under the display. The clerks had not shelved it yet...
