BWAHAHAA-HAAA-HAAA from the mouth of a GOPer... |
|
our resident bush* supporter (RBS) at work overheard myself and another co-worker discussing the Iraq (s)Elections and whether or not it will lead to just an increase in attacks or would it evolve into a civil war...
the RBS came barreling over -- singing verses 1-3 of the bush* chorus
then he had a freudian slip moment -- refered to the middle-east as the MUDDLE-East
my co-worker and I chortled and said -- You got that right! It's the MUDDLE-East alright..
so I suggest to all of you that in reference to the doings in the Gulf that we call it the MUDDLE-EAST

4. We should start a betting pool about which country will be next. |

Iran? Syria? North Korea? China?
My money would be on Syria, for strategic oil distribution purposes. Iran will eventually have a pro-western revolution and North Korea is too messy. Bush would only invade China if he went totally insane and the God voice in his head told him to do it. Although, despite the stupidity of something like that, I do think we should defend Taiwan from the chinese.

5. Hopefully we can avert |

any of them. World opinion will be even stronger against any further attacks - not to mention how mind bogglingly stupid it would be. Iran would be backed by China and Russia, not overtly but at least covertly. Syria might make Israel nervous - as it's awfully close to their border. If the US attacks another nation in the Middle East it is very likely that other nations in the middle east might decide not to wait their turn and launch attacks of their own.

They have oil. Syria and North Korea have little of none. China is too big (1.3 billion people, plus nukes).

7. Venezuela comes to my mind, |
|
Look for some scammed up border incident between Chavez's populist democratic government in Venezuela, and the pro-bush* Right Wing government in Columbia. Money is being spent. Plans are being laid.
Of Course bush* , invoking the Monroe Doctrine (Chavez deal with China), will be forced to intervene in the name of Freedom and Democracy.
