Ironic Headline Alert: Poll: Nation split on Bush as uniter or divider
Something about that headline is hilarious. And not.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/01/19/poll/index.html

Most say inauguration festivities should be toned down.

CNN) -- On the eve of President Bush's inauguration, a poll shows the nation is split over whether he has united or divided the nation, but a majority believe his inauguration festivities should be toned down because of the war.

2. I think that would make him a divider by default
Wouldn't it?

4. I think the very fact that the poll is split...
...proves the point of those who say he's divided.

Who can seriously say Bush is a UNITER?
Except he united the democrats pretty well, I guess.

6. Actually,
you could consider him a uniter:

1.) The democrats are united.
2.) The repubs are united.
3.) The world is now united against the policies of the US government.

BUT he totally divided this country.

7. I'd love to think he united the Democrats
but there are people who say if the party doens't give Dean the Chairman ship, they'll leave, or if they nominate Kerry in 08 they'll leave, etc.

We're too busy standing in a circle shooting ourselves to ever be united. That's the one thing the Repugs have- they are united (of course, this would be in their hatred of America and our true American values, but I digress...)

11. All Kerry has to do is fight back as he did yesterday and today.
That's all I ever wanted and hoped for. A fighter.

17. The people who say that stuff are nuts, and they aren't real Democrats
they will disappear like any fad. True Democrats are in it for the long haul.

8. That is just priceless.
I had to go look myself just to be sure.

How will future generations ever be able to portray these times in which we live? It's parody looped around on itself, twisted up in additional absurdity, then shaken to boot.

9. They must have a new web-site designer
With a sense of humor.

Yesterdays headline said "More Human Intelligence Needed"

Over a photograph of Bush.

13. if there's not even agreement on whether or not he's a divider
then I'd say that's a pretty good indication that he's not a uniter.

What MSMoron came up with that headline?!?

14. I believe that they understand what that headline insinuates...
It's unfortunate that the real journalists have to speak more and more in code.

16. Is the proper term...
... "split nation" or rather, "bipolar disorder nation?"

I suspect the latter.
