Soliders in Iraq trained to lie to media

American troops are given media training and talking points before being allowed into Iraq. The talking points include such whopers as "We are moving forward together with the Iraqi government as partners in building a future for the sons and daughters of Iraq," "Our troopers and their families are our greatest and most treasured resource," and "The Corps is a national institution -- it has never failed to do the will of the American people."

A military spokeman has an Orwellian denial: "These are not for use for propaganda means. They are the truth."
