1. Israel is only risking U.S. lives and money
So prudence is not a concern. Neither is risk.

2. Iran has China to back them up.... I wonder if shrubby has considered
this possibility.... naw... it probably fits right in there with the August 6th PDB. "What, me worry?"

3. It's all just empty threats...sorta like No Child Left Behind.
If the US gets into a war with Iran I'll just be living on the streets with my bullhorn and my sign.

4. Can you say WW-III?
Somewhere along the line the rest of the world is going to say enough already and gang up on the Unites States and the idiots in the White House, as usual, won't have a clue till it is all over except for their War Crimes Trials

5. Is that that the same Iran....
that has an intact standing army, a real live airforce that actually has airplanes that fly, some navy stuff, too, and has been chummy with Russia and China lately?

7. I still don't think he'd actually do it.
He's counting on us to fiercely oppose it, so it looks like he HAD to concede to us. In reality he's a bully - he would never pick on someone that could actually harm him.

I do Like yOur thinkIng and I hope your scenario is the case. But I doubt it, somehow... find the miscapped letters and unscramble them to know the reason why... Here's a hint: "peak "

11. Indeed...
But I think civilization is going to buck the tide for now. He'll be content with out 14 bases in Iraq for the time being.

8. Extremely dumb. Just like Iraq.
I didn't think he'd be dumb enough to actually invade iraq at first, so I don't hold out any home for sane policy anymore. It would be stupid, costly, and the most likely result would be the US ceding southern Iraq to Iran.
