I seriously believe this. I'm not hoping for anyone to take a shot at the guy, but I think the next four years will so scandal-ridden that Bush and his cronies will sincerely regret smearing John Kerry the way they did.

I heard Pat Buchanan express a similar prediction once for Bush's second term, and that's something that I keep reminding myself of whenever I feel overwhelmed by the seeming indestructability of the Republican Party. The fact that Pat fucking Buchanan, one of the worst right-wing scumbags of all time, is predicting a disastrous second term just makes me feel good.

Everything that has happened with this administration has defied the odds and defied history. They have control of the media and congress now and they'll probably strengthen their ranks on the hill in 2006.
