Of course I wore black today, it is the color of mourning.
And I am mourning. Mourning the death of my beloved country. Mourning the death of democracy. Mourning the death of free & fair elections. Mourning the death of civil rights. Mourning the death of choice. Mourning the death of hope. Mourning the death of thousands of more American troops & ten's of thousands of Iraq men, women & children.
This is my reply when asked why I'm wearing all black today.
What are you mourning?

1. I'm wearing black too.
I'm mourning the death of a nation. I am mourning the end of the Age of Reason.

(I'm wearing a black suit I bought for my cousin's funeral last March.)

I'm wearing my Curious George pajamas today and mouring the coronation of george, the continuation of oppression and hatred and murder of his regime.

3. It was either all black or my
"Go Cheney Yourself" tee shirt.
Since I work in an office I went with the all black.

7. Yes, I've been in mourning since 11/2 and of course wore totally black
to work today, head to toe. My small way of protesting this regime. I couldn't go to D.C. (and have vowed not to anyway as long as there is a Bush there) so this is what I did. I am mourning everything that you mentioned. Mostly, the loss of President Kerry. I still think he would make an awesome President. I know there's lots of Kerry bashing on here now, but I still support him.
