Bush: Armed Forces Recruiter |
|
To me, this was the scariest part of the whole damn speach. I bolded the areas that made the hair on the back of my head stand up.
"A few Americans have accepted the hardest duties in this cause - in the quiet work of intelligence and diplomacy ... the idealistic work of helping raise up free governments ... the dangerous and necessary work of fighting our enemies. Some have shown their devotion to our country in deaths that honored their whole lives - and we will always honor their names and their sacrifice.
All Americans have witnessed this idealism, and some for the first time. I ask our youngest citizens to believe the evidence of your eyes. You have seen duty and allegiance in the determined faces of our soldiers. You have seen that life is fragile, and evil is real, and courage triumphs. Make the choice to serve in a cause larger than your wants, larger than yourself - and in your days you will add not just to the wealth of our country, but to its character."
Yeah kids! Die for * and Halliburton, and you too can have imortality. Like a firckin' scene out of "Troy".
How he could say shit like this, while his own drunk, "boobs falling out of my dress", frat mattress daughters, (who are the perfect age to wear "cammies") are sitting there with their smirk little faces looking all "raptured".
I love to slap a uniform on them and send them over. If only his own family bought the shit he was selling. GEEEZ!

The NeoCons need the President to get recruitment numbers from tanking even further. This is scary.

The freeping "keyboard commandos" and folks like the twins, remind me of part of the great speech Jack Nicholson gives towards the end of the movie "A Few Good Men".
"We use words like "honor," "code," "loyalty." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line."
To me Jack could just as well be talking to these neo-con "soldier boy posers"

Could give me the name of JUST ONE! JUST ONE of the 535 members of the House and Senate that have a child serving on the ground in Iraq.
Please also tell me ONE, JUST ONE member of the White House Cabinet that have a child serving in Iraq.
You know, I hate the draft, but I really, really think it is time that the Draft came back.
These frickers spend other peoples money, they ride in other peoples cars, they sleep in other peoples houses, they eat other peoples food, and worst of all they send other peoples children to bleed and die so they can continue screwing everyone.

to imagine how he would pay for his huge new idealogue army. He already can't afford the army he has now. Come join the armed forces and see if it's your base we close this May.

10. So, ya know, maybe he shoulda done it himself |
|
when he had the chance to serve his country, instead of getting Daddy to get him a cushy slot with the FANGers. And then bailing out even on that duty.
Lying hypocritical sack of shit.
