Quilts of Valor

I just heard about a project that puts homemade lap quilts in the hands of wounded military members. I would like to spread the word to members of the DU community, since so many of us support our military members in this dangerous time. Many of us have noticed that we almost never hear about the wounded, just those that are killed, and it's time to pay tribute to those who are still alive.

I don't know how many DU members are quilters, but I can't be the only one. I am planning on making at least two quilts, using fabrics from my stash. Since this is probably going to be a long-term project (unfortunately), I will probably be making more in the future.

I hope that many of you will join me in working on this. Every little bit helps.
