I spent the morning at the VA hospital, surrounded by

military veterans from God knows how many actions and wars. On all the TV screens (Faux, naturally) was the coronation.

What played out on those screens throughout the hospital instantly rendered every honorable thing every person there ever did for their country utterly meaningless.

My father (WWII Purple Heart winner) is spinning in his grave today. The blood he spilled in that Italian minefield now counts for NOTHING.

The fascists have won.

I watched a few moments as Trent Lott took the podium, but that was too much for me.

3. When I go to the VA in Dallas all the TVs are blaring Fox/CNN

And if no one protests, I turn them off. (No one has ever protested, BTW.)

It seems like every waiting area has a screen going. Nothing like Fox news to depress you even further as you wait hours to be seen.
