but it must have been after the inaugration...Must have been, because I had the book 'Supreme Injustice on hand and that was not till June 2001...I was banned my first time cause I thought they were not LIBERAL enough...I though if every post did not begin with that SOAB or that MF'er...then this site was just here to placate my anger! This post is so VERY enlightening as to what they went through..and I am sure I was not a ray of sunshine in their early days!

I first heard of this site from Bartcop.com back in the Gore/ Florida days. Mostly I just read the articles, not even bothering to lurk around the message boards since I wasn't sure if I had anything interesting or informative to say...

Some of the reason is because of the date it was created. That was as much of a slap in the face to Republicans as Bush's gag order. Hehe. At least Democrats can get their slaps somewhere (but hopefully not just on a board).

I still find it very strange that people from other boards bash DU as if it represents all Democrats and liberals though. They take it too seriously. It is a Message Board conservative lurkers! Get a life!

I'm not insulting all the DUers on here. It's just that I think that many of them are different from the typical Democrat that I know.
