The Inaugural Parade Announcer Charles Brotman WAS SCARY!!!
It sounded like mass mind control and he spoke in an almost hypnotic way...Clap For President Bush! Clap for President Bush!

I guess he's been announcing the parade since Eisenhowser but Doris Kearns Goodwin commented that she has never heard anything like it before, and that it sounded like he was telling the people exactly what to do.

Did anyone else think his voice sounded like a shepherd leading the sheeple?

2. naw.. I think the "announcer" was something new
"Let's Clap for them and show them how much we love America"
"Let's hear it 13th Street!"
"God Bless our President!"

9. Is that what that was? Thought I was hearing voices.
Why does the beloved leader of the greatest freedom loving country in the whole damn world need a cheerleader at his coronation?

10. "World Wrestling Federation" is how two people on ABC described him.
They said he was announcing what the people were seeing, implying that to do so was unnecessary. I can't remember who first said it sounded like the "World Wrestling Federation", but another agreed.

11. Peter Jennings said it. He sounded downright disgusted at times.
Hell, even George Will AND David Brooks spotted a turd in the punch bowl and commented on it today.

12. I don't think Jennings was the first to say it.
I think he repeated it after someone else had said it earlier.

I loved what George Will said. I thought I wouldn't be able to watch the inauguration, but I found it very entertaining. :)

George Will phrases:

military operation
unworthy
not attractive
banana republic

It was even better than that, but that's all I can remember. I wonder if David Brooks was the one who talked about the "George Orwell novel"?
