Lots of big talk....not much understanding of the complexities. Anyone?

2. I'm not watching TV, but...
I have no idea what Bush was talking about in his speech. All I heard was freedom about a hundred times with some liberties thrown in.

4. Freedom is what Bremer did to their economy. Freedom to rape, pillage
dismantle, sell off, shortchange, swindle and generally dictate to a sovereign nation WTF they are going to do with their businesses. If this is what shrub calls freedom, then yeah.. I guess the Iraqis are free now. They are loving their freedom in Baghdad these days.

3. He still keeps saying there were only a "few thousand" protesters.
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 08:14 PM by JimmyJazz
I've heard from other DUers who have said there were "several thousand" protesters and, from what I saw on CSpan - the number of people protesting seemed almost equal to those cheering on Chimpy McCokespoon.

9. All over the world. Protestors in South Korea
and in the Phillipines held up signs with a photo of Bush and the words "#1 terrorist."

10. Buckaroo Bonzai
I couldn't stomach listening to The Speech (although I just had Pacifca Radio on, and they were overlaying old speeches of Hitler with today's speech that were pretty interesting).
Anyone a Buckaroo Bonzai fan? I keep remembering the speech John Lithgow's crazed character was giving to his alien troops before trying to break into the 5th dimension, and thinking Georgie probably looked/sounded about the same.

"No matter where you go....there you are".
