I've never seen such a thickly-armored vehicle. Even armored cars have less thickness. Kabuki for the coWard.

19. The "tank" was constucted in 2000.
So it was properly Al Gore's to ride in.

Riding in this monster is not the thing which makes L'il Georgie a coward.

34. Interesting- news stories say it's new
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=509&ncid=509&e=13&u=/ap/20050117/ap_on_bi_ge/cadillac_bush_1

DETROIT - Americans will get an idea of what Cadillac's newest model will look like when President Bush (news - web sites) rides down Pennsylvania Avenue on Thursday.

Bush will take part in the inaugural parade in a jet-black, Cadillac DTS limousine produced by General Motors Corp. It will provide a glimpse of the design direction of the mass produced version of the 2006 DTS.

"General Motors and Cadillac are proud to write this latest chapter in American automotive history," said GM Chairman and Chief Executive Rick Wagoner in a new release Friday.

GM will introduce the production version of the DTS at next month's Chicago Auto Show.

Agreed, though, that Gee Dumbass' cowardice predates his limo ride.

40. Yeah. It's new
as I found out on another thread.

The one in 2000 was new, too. I couldn't believe they would build another four ton monster for Chimp & Co to tool around in after only four years.

20. The limo was rolled out in 2000
Edited on Fri Jan-21-05 12:51 AM by Kurovski
I remember a 5 minute report on the sucker from back then.

I didn't hear the report, but good for Mr williams. If the Media put daily pressure on Georgie's slimy war-party, it would finally get some armor for our troops, post haste.

I guess it doesn't poll high enough in the major concerns of Georgie's fanbase.

Edit: can't find anything about it being new this year, but found out the thing has 5 inches of ballistic armor, is sealed against chemical attack, and weighs around 4 tons.

25. If it's new, they replaced the one from 2000.
Which would make sense. It's just that the one in 2000 had such a steep price tag.

Maybe they re-fitted the thing?

you don't think chimpy could be seen riding in the same old limo from FOUR years ago do you? why in the meantime, he's come to realize his rightful place as Sun King, President for Life, Head of American's Only Rightful Dynastic Family. No, no ... a four year old limo just won't do.

I wonder which one is hated more by the entire world. At one time you could say comparing a President to Hitler could not be done, because Hitler was in a league of his own. Not any more...

36. Reminds me of an old Russian Revolution film.
I forget the name of it but there is a scene from Russian life before the revolution in which some aristocrats in a carriage drive by a crowd of starving, begging peasants. They throw an empty booze bottle out the window at their feet and drive on.

as the resentment felt for Bush after a son or daughter is killed
for a lie?

People are leaving the right in droves.

Good Republicans are ashamed of their party.

I watched the parade on Cspan just to count protest signs, which I found evenly distributed all along the route.
