how can smirk invade Iran when Halliburton just got huge contract

to drill offshore for gas from Iran? and another country (India, Russia, China?) got a contract to do oil stuff in Iran?

would Iran make deals with smirk if it thought smirk was going to invade them?

I know some species charm their prey within reach but, but........

1. They'll give the oil to Halliburton for free...
and then make the Iranian people pay restitution to Halliburton.

Just like Iraq.

2. Where do you think those brand-spanking new Hummers with all
the armor have to go?

Certainly not where they're needed, like IRAQ . . .

3. It's called breach of contract due to act of God...
Generally you can breach a contract if another force of nature or war creates circumstances beyond your control that make performance impossible or impractical. Look for our invasion to coincide with the moment Halliburton has gotten its end and is due to provide services itself.

Because Halliburton's interest would of course have no impact on when the US would choose to invade Iran.

4. How does the deal read?
Has Haliburton already received payment in advance of work to be done? Like, 'we need $500 million up front to get the operation going'. Then, voila! We're at war, the contract was with the old regime, and we don't need to pay it back.

Possible?

5. Oh, they'll keep the contract
We'll just end up paying for it instead.
