I DID NOT LISTEN TO BUSH SPEAK |
|
But I have read several accounts of his inaugural address.....and...I am now more frightened and fearful than ever before, not of foreign terrorists , or foreign nations, but bush himself and the USA.
Distrust has become intense dislike bordering on hatred and I am just not a hateful person. Unease has grown to fear, real palpable fear of what the next four years will bring.
I can't help but think we are entering a "hunker down" mentality just hoping to survive. Financially, emotionally, economically, morally - I have entered the "hunker down zone".
Am I overreacting?

7. WEll, I was cynical before |
|
Cynical of what success Bush could make out of an aggressive war...but now this is different somehow. Bush does not feel bogged down by Iraq. That is my sense. He gets strength from dissent. He ENJOYS it. Somehow, it vindicates his idealogy - and that frightens me more than anything else. The more you say something is wrong - the faster down that road he goes, dragging the nation and half the world with him.
I seriously think something is pathologically wrong with him. We were taught growing up that violence was wrong. Brutality was wrong. And here is this guy, who embraces violence while speaking liberty and freedom......

4. The REAL terrorists are in the White House |
|
Remember that movie, forget the name of it, where somebody says "The calls are coming from INSIDE the house! Get out fast!" Reminds me of what's going on in your country. I've even heard rumors that there are huge prison camps being built in the U.S. I can't belive it but maybe it's true. If so who are the Bush Bunch planning to put in 'em? Too much like nazi Germany. From day one I have been amazed that the American public is just sitting there waiting for it all to happen.

I don't watch/listen to Bush. It's too painful. He read a very nationalistic speech, no details, no mechanics. Just more mindspeak. He repeated "liberty" and "freedom" over and over. The sheep love this stuff. It's easy. You don't have to think. The guy used to be a cheerleader. He still is. All that was missing were the swatiskas and the heel clicking.

6. I don't think you are overreacting |

I had to overcome a lot of anxieties over the PAST four years. Now with George the Emboldened and his flock which is cheering for their "rapture", well, who knows?
