What is the purpose of the FCC? |
|
All they do is censure people for decency. When there is a perceived problem in that realm, they crack down. It is not promoting freedom, or protecting us from anyone who is truly out to do us harm. It does not look out for any real interests people have, why does that piece of shit exist?

2. It Has Become The TV Police - You Gotta Blame Clinton However |

he threw a huge bone to the GOP when he agreed to The Telecommunications Act of 96. All hell broke loose and made the FCC irrelevant as far as promoting fairness & accuracy, when he allowed 6 corporations to own the airwaves.

3. To control and regulate the airwaves and their owners |
|
If it worked as it was suppose to work, it would stop communications monopolies from ever happening.
So much for that plan, huh?
It should set the tone for what is acceptable to be broadcast on the public airwaves, in the best interest of all the citizens.
So much for that plan, huh?
It regulates what frequencys or band are used by which media source, including first responders, ham radio operators, or even the cb in a truckers cab. (Come back, good buddy!)
It also regulates what frequencys will be used by wireless technologies.
There are only so many bands to be had. If we don't protect them now, we might not be given a second chance later.
They do much more now as well, with the regulation of the internet too.
That's just a quick overview.
