More nonsense with the Corporate Media...

This is the second story I've read in as many weeks where items that affect just Georgia are not reported in the Atlanta Journal, but I see them in the LA Times. Why are these stories not being reported locally?

Just a rhetorical question, kids. I know the answer - we wouldn't want the people effected by these stories to worry their little heads over this stuff.

My youngest brother lives in Atlanta. I gave him my password for the LA Times so he can read the articles I forwarded to him.

1. My guess is

the Atlanta paper isn't locally owned, and the owners don't pay close enough attention to local news because it means paying local reporters.

2. The Journal is owned by one of the Cox divisions

I think that the Cox sisters live in Atlanta, and I know that Cox Enterprises is based there. (I work for another Cox subsidiary in the automotive industry.)

I see a pretty good amount of local Atlanta news online, most of which I ignore since I don't live there. But when it's on the main page of another paper's online edition, I notice it. My brother reads the paper in hard copy with no complaints. Except when I forward him information from out of town sources.
