Tweety is talking about Iraq in terms I haven't heard
on any television program to date. Very blunt about America's hypocracy of spreading Liberty and Freedom by killing and torturing whoever gets in our way and using God as the cover.

Go Tweety!

1. Until Monday night
When he has had the weekend to think it over, and then he'll be back to his "Bush is the greatest President ever" programming.

3. See two posts with almost the same observation about Tweety.
We were typing at the same time.

2. Give him a few minutes or a day Tweety will praise *.
He gets on his high horse from time to time but quickly falls off. He is one of the reasons I have abandoned MSM. If enough people turn him off he may go away some day.

5. Years ago I used to read his column, fairly left wing and
watch his show. He tried to keep it to the middle at one time. Then he went on this rampage about Clinton and Monica, turning into a big media whore, and I find I really have no time for him at all, even when he occasionally shows some rationality.

18. "... he went on this rampage about Clinton and Monica... "
Yep, that's when he started beating the RW drum. Before that, he was better @ riding the middle line. After they went after Clenis, he acted like Bill had stole his bj & he was mad @ it.

7. He was saying that yesterday, too -- it's amazing
He was very blunt during the inaugural coverage -- I think Bush's speech really shocked him (as well it should). Peggy Noonan also sounded very troubled by the speech -- someone posted her WSJ column here today. MSome people are finally waking up.

not just boosting ratings, but that he's really expressing some personal beliefs.

9. yes, me too
I think that speech just completely floored him -- I don't think it's an act. Why the rest of the pundits aren't similarly shocked is beyond me -- that speech was frighteningly naive and over-the-top. I was thrilled to see Peggy Noonan bash it -- since she's a Reagan person, I think that's important.

20. Peggy Noonan is the shocker. Reagan speechwriter has always ...
swore (in that treacly way of talking she has) that *ush was the 2nd coming of Reagan, saw her argue w/Ron Jr. @ it once. Ron wasn't too pleased w/the comparison. When she gets scared by *ush lines, we are seriously in the deep woods.

I think he's bi-polar or manic depressive. He's all over the charts with his political rhetoric. Maybe he's seen the light....or maybe he's off his Ambien.

11. LOL Yeah I know what you mean
but this had the feeling of something different. I don't know... it's not his job to be partial, but there was bile in his words. I for one feel it's never too late to see the light and may he pursue it with a born-again vigor!

Forgive my ignorance, but the over-caffeinated Matthews is the only one who comes to mind from reading your posts.

I'm a crybaby too, by the way. Yessirree, a crybaby from way back. Come from a long line of cry babies. My mom was a cry baby, my -- well I guess that's about it actually. In fact I had to make a deal with my therapist to furnish my own Kleenex before he'd agreed to see me.

Now don't delete my cookies before I get a chance to eat them! (Did you know that some unscrupulous types actually do that and then go back in and vote again and again on those online polls?! Imagine! Stuffing the CNN ballot box! Not me, though. No way buddy. (Now that would be wrong!)

What was the topic again?

22. HaHa - did you go back and read my post on how you could go
back and vote again on some poll a while back?? That is soooo funny cause I got called out for voter fraud!

I cry all the time, when I'm happy, when I'm sad, and when I'm inspired. I cry lots of times reading the posts of people on DU. Absolutely inspiring!

15. He's like a feather in a tornado.. One minute trashing people who
dare to question *² (Remember, he thinks *² is "cool", and marvels at how he looks in jeans)...and then occasionally criticizes the way the Iraq war come-on was poorly covered.. Of course, he carefully "forgets" that HE HAPPENS TO HAVE A DAILY ONE HOUR SHOW THAT GETS REPEATED, AND HE NEVER SAW FIT TO ASK THE QUESTIONS HIMSELF..

He also forgets that HE was one of the biggest bloodthirsty warmongers and participated in the "we gotta have a war" frenzy..

It always cracks me up when NEWS PEOPLE say, "they" never saw stuff on the news.. DUH!!!

Today on c-span a reporter commented that he was "impressed" by some ordinary people who "knew more about a subject he was covering than HE did".. "impressed" is not the word he should have spoken.. EMBARRASSED is closer to what he SHOULD feel..

16. Tweety interview with Bush
"My pro-life position is I believe there is life. It’s not necessarily based on religion. I think there is a life there, therefore the notion of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. I'm gonna talk about the ideal world, Chris. I've read- I understand reality. If you're asking me as the president, would I understand reality, I do."

Every time the air gets thick with rumors of a draft he goes wobbly on Delivering Democracy to the World. Remember his near panic during the IWR vote and on the eve of the invasion -- "Where are the Democrats? Where ARE the Democrats?!!"
