Satan Displays Bush 'Hook 'em' Hand Gesture; Is The Devil a UT Fan Too?
The first image Represents the horned god of witchcraft. Pan or Cernunnos. Note the thumb under the fingers and given by the right hand. The second image is a sign of recognition between those in the Occult. When pointed at someone it is meant to place a curse. Note the thumb over the fingers and given by the left hand.

Take a look at the photos and decide for yourself.

1. Really, this is ridiculous.
You realize that, don't you?

There is no hidden satanism in the horns sign. None.

2. It's actually a Texas Longhorn sign...
Y'know, the university.

But hey - I wouldn't put it past them to insinuate other stuff.

7. so why can't we just take advantage of this
and keep promoting the missdirection? I'm sure there are some older folks out there on the right that would believe it. You know, the ones that actually believed the sun and moon on Protor and Gamble products were occult symbols and believed in listening to records backwards to get messages from the devil and the ones that believe sponge bob is spreading gayness. Use it to our advantage...

8. I remember the Proctor and Gamble propaganda back in the 70s.
Very funny.

I agree with the strategy, "use it to our advantage." Karl Rove et al proved that it works... unfortunately. x(

13. Their minds are being used like free HD storage on the Internet.
We must cut the electricity, erase the HD, zap the PRAM, re-boot off-line, and install a new GUI/OS. Unfortunately, older hardware systems cannot handle a new OS, so they must be accessed through the old shell and tweaked so that they can blissfully function in a local LAN without harming the newer, untainted hardware.

10. "I love you"
That's what some people said that he was *trying* to sign (it is sort of close, like nuclear and nucular). Now we know that he can mis"pronounce" sign language too.

11. lol, Some people around the world really believe this.
I learned a long time ago in business school watch what hand signals you give because other cultures have different meanings.

The point I have been trying to make for days. The gesture is completely inapproprate with regard to the situation.

15. I now there is nothing to all of this but
When Bush came out of the luncheon he was walking with trent lott preparing to go to review the troops and I know I saw trent lott give the texas longhorns symbol to someone standing in fronyt of him to the left. I couldn't see who it was because of the camera angle you could only see this persons arm and hand. I tried to watch on c-spans site to find it but none of the video is working.

16. I have lived in Austin, and was born in Texas...IT'S JUST A UT THING.
Give me a break people. Look at a longhorn...

then decide for yourself.

The hand signal used by heavy metal fans may be the same, but that doesn't MEAN anything! Not everything has to mean something for God's sake!

the UT band was passing by...they gave the 'hook em horns' as a tribute to UT. That's all. If I drive past someone with Texas plates anywhere outside of Texas, I give them the Horns, and they know exactly what I mean...I either get the horns back, the guns from Texas Tech, or the Gig'Em thumb thing from A&M!

this is so stupid. I hate Bush but this is so dumb, there are much more important things to worry about.

17. It's still poor business practice.
We live in a world of different cultures, and to have our so called president giving any kind of hand gesture is a very poor practice of business.

19. I can agree with that, but where do you draw the line?
simply pointing in some countries is offensive, I can say from experience that I would not have thought twice about giving the Horns if the UT band passed me by... I will now, if that should ever happen and I am in the international eye. I talk with my hands quite a bit, and when I travel to other countries, i try to make sure I know about these things, but this is quite obscure, IMO.

I try to be very culturally aware and it never occured to me that anyone could possibly be offended by this little gesture... I love UT, and Austin, and that's as complicated as I think it gets with Shrub and family.
