7. Sibel is not on yet
Each interview lasts over a half hour and Venezuela is up first. The show is four hours long and I do not know where Sibel is in the lineup.

By tomorrow the show should be archived on the thisishell site.

11. Sibel is demanding open, public Congressional hearings !
She is coming on quite strong ...she wants the Americans to know the information she has !

All the gag orders are still in affect...information still classified.

13. Several points she is making...
Govt over classifying information ... Ashcroft's action makes people suspicious of why the "gag order" .

She is talking about "foreign business relations" as the issue. They will not invesitgate terrist activities becuase it would affect foreign business relations...yet AMericans can sacrific their rights?

15. she is talking about the process of how her translations are "worked"
and how information is "removed or vetted" before "passing on".

Certain translation were INTENTIONALLY being blocked ! Even though translators had top secret clearance.

16. FBI translation division has serious mgmt problems.
They have removed this depart from the agency (?) This department is totally "closed off" from the agents... extremely poor funding. Many hiring being done through nepotism.

23. ThisIsHell and Bob McChesney on Sundays vie for my top spot
The only problem with McChesney is that it is only an hour, way too short.

21. 28 pages didacted from 911 report ...reports are classified
she has been briefing "congressman" in absolute "security" and data is not getting out.

The govt keep getting bigger and more and more scretive.

The congress is not standing up..there are no checks and balances.

FBI took her report very seriously .... by blocking everything.

she was confident that things would move forward...she thought congress would do thier jobs...she took it to authorities...but she did not share all data on 60 mins.

But nobody followed up....

26. Sen Leahy thinks Sibel's information is damaging
"...we fear that the designation of information as classified in some cases serves to protect the executive branch against embarrassing revelations and full accountability... Releasing declassified versions of these reports, or at least portions or summaries, would serve the public’s interest, increase transparency, promote effectiveness and efficiency at the FBI, and facilitate Congressional oversight."

U.S. Senators Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont) and Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) in a Letter to Attorney General John Ashcroft
