A reminder for Mr Rumsfeld
Dear Mr. Rumsfeld,

Due to your recent thinly veiled threat against criticism of the occupation of Iraq, I think you may have forgotten something and need a gentle reminder.

You see, Mr Rumsfeld, this is an employer-employee relationship you are in. You, sir, work for US, the taxpayers, the voters, the civilians. Contrary to what you may believe, we do NOT work for you or fall under your chain of command.

True enough, we cannot directly fire you. But it is equally true that our votes can fire your immediate supervisor, President Bush, and our Legislators, who also work for us, can cut off your funding at any time.

Before you go about issuing more edicts about who can say what, just remember, that you are neither Boss nor God. You are hired help. And you can be replaced.

A taxpayer
