I live in Dayton, Ohio, and we won't see the sun again until April.

12. winter in louisiana
Well, here in baton rouge it's in the 70s today after a low of 60 last night, but going down to the high 20s tonight and only in the low 40s tomorrow. that's the roller coaster ride of a louisiana winter. we never put away our shorts and tank tops because you never know when you will need them. I do feel sorry for those having very cold weather, but their houses are probably insulated to stand such weather.
Oh, and my brother who lives in anchorage got a big laugh on christmas day when I told him my daughter was snowed-in in new orleans. seriously they closed the highways because of ice which we are totally unprepared for. All the roads from NO to BR have elevated portions that freeze easily. there was enough snow to make a six inch high snow man.

26. I spent the first two decades of my life in Chicago.

Thanks, but I'll pass on any more of the kind of "character" that needs to warm up the car for a half hour on a morning with a minus twenty wind chill. Excuse my french, but... fuck that noise.

28. Oh yeah, and, erm, the Ken Lay-installed Gropenator notwithstanding...
(We'll deal with him in 2006, thank you very much)
...I don't think we have a whole hell of a lot to apologize for politically these days, either.

Nope, doesn't "suck" a bit.

16. Doesn't suck at all.
Yeah, it was kind of a pain in the ass to get my scarf to cover my mouth and nose without it fogging up my glasses, but I like the idea of 4 distinct and different seasons to the year.

18. That's nice. It'll be 70 and sunny in June here.
But tonight, we're cocooning. I baked some yummy cookies, am making a nice salad, some chicken parm, pasta and garlic bread for dinner, we'll open a nice bottle of wine, send the kids down to the basement to watch a movie and make love by the fire. So keep your sunshine. I'll enjoy our blizzard.
