Dear U.N. friends and allies (helpful advice from an American)
I'm sure that you're as puzzled as I am at how the events of the past 3 years have lead us to the place that we are at today. To avoid a long letter, I'll stick to the basics. We (the U.S. military specifically, and our government in general) need your help in Iraq. The fact is that the very leadership which launched this troublesome endeavor are still in place in the U.S., and our needs are quite immediate.

My advice to you, as you use your best resources to act as good friends while, of course, protecting your own interests, is that you do not make the mistake which we made in believing the information that comes from many members of our government. Some very large and very wealthy organizations (mostly corporations) are wielding a great deal of influence over our administration. The fact is that this alone is not such a horrible thing. The trap that we fell into is that we believed things that they told us without verification. The examples are too numerous to mention, and I want to make this short.

When approached at the U.N. for assistance with the promise that your contribution can be relatively small but important, and that the US will allow you certain authority in exchange for your support, i urge you to think twice and consult a broad spectrum of US diplomats. There are many possible roads ahead, and we need not only assistance, but guidance.

I will mention one example. When California sought to deregulate their electric utilities, it was at the behest of people who wanted a free market. However, once the free market was opened, many of the same scoundrels who promoted the change actually held back supply to increase demand and raise prices. This legal scheme worked so well that California has been practically bankrupted, all on a promise of an open marketplace, competitive pricing, etc. It's important to note that many of those culprits are now very influencial in our government as our national energy policies are being revised and as we assume control of Iraq's oil resources.

You are our friends, and I believe you mean us well. Please be wary of what you are told, even by us, your longtime friends. And, where you can afford to, your helpful guidence and assistance is appreciated.

1. Well I spoke my mind from Holland. I am sorry.

I am sure there will be some countries that will get involved. Holland already is, despite having prewar polls over 70 per cent against the war (just like Spain), WITH UN APPROVAL.

You know, Old Europe (and when I say that I don't include lapdog UK), has been targeted over the past year by the media of America (at least what CNN International feeds us over here) with such ridicule and blatant intimidation and attacks on the French and the Germans in particular, that we are not feeling too comfortable with throwing tons of money at America to bail you out of the Iraqmire that you are currently about chest deep in.

Not to mention the UN and UNICEF which are both sorely underfunded thanks to America's refusal to pay up.

And why should our children, brothers, sisters, etc die for your piracy? Because that is exactly what it is – problem is, it's a big fucking ocean you're in. And who can predict the weather? America left port in the middle of a hurricane on a leaky boat, and I am not sure if that kind of stupidity deserves rescue boats.

We are pretty happy over here with socialized medicine, low crime rates, a sturdy welfare system that gives people dignity, gun laws that make sense, not much fear about 'terrorism' all day (though we have lived with it internally for many years) and reasonably low unemployment etc. Why should we fire off billions to America's war on... stealing oil?

And to boot in Holland where I live, I can personally order a joint by perusing the phone book and some guy will deliver it to me on a bike. I don't smoke dope but I can if I want to and the company that delivers it pays taxes, which keep our taxes down. Does this make sense?

This war was all about oil. Of course Russia, Germany and France had lucrative contracts with Saddam. America and the UK were blocked out cause Dubya's 'daddy' came in and created a mini genocide then hightailed it out in order to cover up a well documented mass slaughter of Iraqi soldiers on the Saudi border. I suspect that little Rumsfeld-Saddam handshake did not go over well.

Everyone started getting cold feet in the hot desert including Powell.

The pullout led to thousands of Shiites being murdered after they sided with their saviour Bush and it led to Saddam saying, "fuck these guys, they supported me against Iran, then told me it was ok to go into Kuwait, they gave me WMD and now they fuck me OVER?"

Yea. Let's go make friends with the Russians, the French and the Germans then. And then we had a decade of 'evil Iraq' because America and Britain were out of the loop.

Now the nifty oil supply graphic that we are being shown by global experts shows we are running out. The little jagged line is coming down. And guess who really need it? I have this clear image of Rumsfeld being handcuffed and taken away screaming, "We need THAT OIL, WE NEED THAT OIL."

He may be right funny enough.

And to think. People kill people over things like this. Lot of them.
